The Voice And Nothing More

It was Christmas and we had a lovely gig at the Wild Hare Club in Hereford supporting the slightly up himself Robyn Hitchcock, the crowd were absolutely lovely, as was the promoter Richard. As usual I got swept up in the sound check and what to wear to get anyone to take any pictures but we played in the ballroom at the rather faded luxury of the Green Dragon Hotel with lots of mistletoe and pretty Christmas bunting.

Anyway that was then and tomorrow is Friday the 16th, when I shall be singing for Athanasios Argianas again, this time at The Slade Research Centre for an exhibition called The Voice And Nothing More. It’s free and there will be lots going on, big names like Martin Creed as well as the less well-known artists also known as ‘emerging’ artists. We’ll be singing at around 7pm.

I used to live very near this piece in Lower Clapton by Martin Creed and i didn’t know who had done it or why at the time but it genuinely cheered me up every time i saw it.
